The curse of dumb luck
Some people get lucky. Luck however will never outdo constant learning and consistent processes & delivery. This is the hill I’m willing to die on. We’ve all heard the stories, someone stumbles into success seemingly by accident. The viral post, the last-minute opportunity, the chance encounter that turns into a massive deal. These stories are inspiring, sure, but they’re also dangerous. They create a false narrative that success is simply a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Here’s the truth: luck might open the door, but it’s your ability to consistently deliver value that keeps it open. Without systems in place, without a mindset of constant improvement, and without showing up day after day, any luck you encounter will be fleeting. When I started my business, I didn’t know the value of consistency. I believed my passion and skill would be enough. But passion isn’t sustainable without structure, and skill becomes stagnant without learning. It wasn’t until I developed processes, honed my craft through relentless curiosity, and committed to showing up (even on the hard days) that I saw lasting results.
